(Florence, KY) - The Florence Freedom (32-37), presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, fell to the Normal CornBelters (38-31) by a score of 9-1 Thursday night.
Florence starter Tony Vocca (3-2) tossed four innings and allowed six runs to pick up his second loss of the season. Vocca worked three scoreless innings before running into trouble in the fourth, allowing six runs to cross the plate.
Florence scored its only run of the ballgame in the bottom of the fourth. Frazier Hall led off with a walk and moved to second a Sam Eberle walk. Hall stole third to put himself 90 feet away from scoring. Ozzy Gonzalez drove Hall home on a sacrifice fly. Florence trailed 6-1 after four frames.
