NORMAL, Ill. - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, received their second straight complete game on the mound as Cullen Babin went the distance with a five-hit shutout supported by five RBIs from Aaron Dudley in an 11-0 win over the Gateway Grizzlies on Wednesday night at the Corn Crib.

The Belters started the scoring in the second inning with a two-run homer onto the right field berm by Aaron Dudley and a fielder's choice RBI by Jorge Chavarria in his first Normal at-bat. The CornBelters added a run in the fourth when Richard Lucas led off with a single, went to third on a Jhiomar Veras base hit and scored on a double play grounder for a 4-0 lead.

Normal used a big fifth inning to build the advantage to 8-0 with an RBI single from Sam Judah and Dudley's second home run of the night, a three-run drive to right field. Mike Schwartz placed a three-run homer on the right field berm in the eighth inning to complete the scoring.

Babin (6-6) earned the victory by surrendering just five hits with one walk and one strikeout for his league-leading fourth complete game of the season. Kerry Kelley (3-5) gave up eight runs over five innings for the loss.

The Belters conclude the brief home stand with a 7 p.m. Thursday first pitch against the Grizzlies as the Belters hand the ball to right-hander Bobby Shore (3-5, 4.18 ERA) while Gateway sends righty Aaron Newcomb (9-5, 6.43) to the mound.
