The Bakersfield Condors meet the Colorado Eagles for the final installment of their 11-game season series. It is the seventh meeting in Bakersfield, where the Condors have two of their three all-time victories against the Eagles. In the teams' last meeting, the Condors doubled up the Eagles and earned a 6-3 win in Loveland.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Bakersfield continued their impressive stretch run with three victories on the weekend. After picking up 5-2 and 4-3 wins over Utah and Las Vegas, respectively, in Bakersfield, the Condors won a tight 4-3 afternoon game in Las Vegas on Sunday. In Sunday's win, Bakersfield received goals from four different scorers and 40 saves from G Bryan Pitton. D Josh Van Dyk scored his first goal as a Condor in the third period, which proved to be the game-winner.
Colorado played a team other than the Alaska Aces for the first time since March 7th last night in a 5-3 loss to the Wranglers. The Eagles fell behind 2-0, but rallied to tie the game at 2-2 and then at 3-3 before Las Vegas put the game away with two goals in the third period. F Joey Sides, F Liam Huculak, and F Alex Penner each scored for the visitors who dropped their seventh game in their last nine outings.
CONDORS NOTES
Bakersfield is 15-3-1 when leading after two periods of play, including two wins against Las Vegas over the weekend...LW Peter Boyd is on a four-game point streak (2g-6a)...LW Evan Trupp has an assist in each of his last three games..C Alex Hudson recorded his first fighting major as a Condor on Sunday in Las Vegas against Jeff May...Bakersfield has scored a power-play goal in each of their three victories over Colorado.
EAGLES NOTES
Leading scorer Chad Costello, who had 76 points (29g-47a) in 47 games played, is injured and out for the rest of the season...The Eagles scoring drought, having scored 10 goals over their last six games, has dropped them to third in the league in scoring with 3.52 goals per game...D Aaron Schneekloth continues to lead ECHL defensemen in scoring with 58 points (19g-39a).
