Bakersfield Condors News Release

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League have announced they have once again teamed up with the SBC Yellow Pages, and are featured on the cover of the 2003 SBC Yellow Pages phone directory.

The yellow pages are currently being distributed throughout Kern County, and will canvass the area during the month of February. The total distribution of the SBC directory is in excess of 352,000 people.

The Condors grace the cover along with a full-color photo of Centennial Garden this year. There is also a feature inside the book on the team's community participation. In the coupon section, on pages 4 and 5, a schedule of the remaining home games is listed, as well as several coupons for merchandise and ticket discounts.

"We're very excited to renew our relationship with the Condors this year," said SBC Directory Regional Sales Manager Doug Walker. "I've dealt with a lot of sporting teams in the past, and they truly have the classiest organization around. They represent the community better than anybody else, and we're happy to continue with them.

"It's a great honor to be on the cover," said Condors Assistant GM Chris Freshour. "The folks at SBC are great to work with and it's a great benefit to be able to reach so many people throughout the county.

The Condors are on the road for their next three games, starting with Wednesday's match in Long Beach at 7:00pm. After that, they head to Anchorage for two games against the Aces on Friday and Saturday. They return home to host their Highway 99 rivals, the Fresno Falcons on Tuesday, March 4th. For that game, WB 12 and KISS 96.5 present the last Student ID Night, which gives all college and high school students the opportunity to purchase lower level seats for just $1. The first 1,000 fans will receive a set of Condors Mardi Gras Beads, courtesy of FOX 98.5 and The Prime Cut.

Individual tickets can be purchased at the Centennial Garden Box Office, which is open from 10:00am-6:00pm Monday through Saturday, by calling Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at ticketmaster.com or stopping by any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825) or by visiting the Condors office next to Centennial Garden.
