
Balan Re-Called to Norfolk; Laplante Reassigned From Admirals

ROANOKE, VA â The Roanoke Express had two changes take place to its roster today, it was announced by Head Coach Tony MacAulay. Defenseman Scott Balan was re-called by the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, and goaltender Sebastien Laplante was reassigned by the Admirals to the Express.
Balan, who has moved between Roanoke and Norfolk several times this season, has appeared in 30 games with the Express, tallying seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) and has amassed 38 penalty minutes. He rejoins the Admirals having appeared in 13 games in the AHL.
Laplante, who was called up to Norfolk on February 17, appeared in one of the two Admirals' games this past weekend. The rookie netminder came on in relief in Saturday night's game at Cincinnati. Laplante returns to the Express having played in 35 games and compiled a record of 18-11-2, with a goal's against average of 3.25. Prior to his call-up, Laplante had appeared in 12 of the last 14 games.
