Condors Release Event Schedule and Mini-Plans

Bakersfield, Calif. â The Bakersfield Condors have released their mini-plans and promotional event schedule for the upcoming 2003-04 season.
The event schedule is a mix of returning favorites and new items. Among the most popular returning entertainers and events are the Oakland Raiderettes (November 22nd), the famous Teddy Bear Toss (November 29th), SpongeBob Squarepants (January 17th) and the ZOOperstars (February 28). Giveaway items include two Bobblehead nights (October 18th and March 13th), Cap night (November 21st), Backpacks (December 5th), Team Card Sets (January 16th), and Youth Jerseys (April 3rd).
New events planned include a visit from Ken Baker, signing his book "They Don't Play Hockey In Heaven" (October 25th), the Wild Thornberry's (December 14th), and the mascot Reggy (Dave Raymond, the former "Phillie Phanatic," February 14th). The Condors are also planning the celebration of their one-millionth fan, estimated to come during the first month of the season. In five seasons, the Condors are just 27,799 fans shy of the historical mark.
New giveaway items include Pennants (November 9th), Player Rubber Ducks (January 10th), Matchbox Cars (February 13th), License Plate Frames (March 19th), and Nesting Dolls (April 2nd). There will be three jersey raffle and auctions during the season as well, honoring Veteran's Day, Bakersfield's oil history, and Leap Year.
"We've always tried to keep our promotions fresh and bring in new entertainers, while bringing back our more popular events," said Condors GM Chris Freshour. "We'll have a couple new bobblehead subjects, and with our new nights, such as the mascot Reggy, the matchbox cars and rubber ducks â which molds a Condors player into a rubber duck â we should have a lot of fun this season.
The mini-plans have been set as well for the upcoming season. Mini-plans are available in 24, 18, 12, and 6-game packs, allowing fans to reserve seats to pre-selected games, without the commitment of a full-season ticket package. With a choice of four 6-pack mini-plans, fans can select one or more that are most favorable to their schedule.
Plan A is the "Friday Night Frenzy", featuring five Friday games. Plan B is the "Saturday Night Live" package, with all six games on Saturdays. Plan C, "Colonel Claw'd's Catch," features the six games included in the Colonel Claw'd's Kid's Club. Three of the games on Plan D are on Sundays. No 6-pack will see one opponent more than twice. Mini-plans start at just $48 each, and the four options are listed below, along with the complete promotional schedule.
The Condors make their ECHL debut in just 37 days, on Friday, October 17th, hosting the Fresno Falcons Opening Night. Season ticket packages are available starting at just $48, and group outings are also available.
