ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL announced today the addition to the front office staff of Dan Weiss as Public Relations and Broadcasting Manager.
Weiss will oversee all areas of the Bullies public and media relations' departments including promotional and community appearances by the players and "Wooly", the Bullies mascot. In addition he will serve as the new Voice of the Bullies for all 36 road games in 2003-04.
"We're excited to have Dan come on board and join our staff," said Dan Belisle, Bullies Vice President and General Manager. "I believe that he will be a tremendous asset to our organization, and I know our fans will appreciate his enthusiasm for the game.
Weiss comes to South Jersey from the Corpus Christi (TX) Rayz of the Central Hockey League where he worked last year as the Rayz Director of Public Relations and Media Broadcasting. A native of Houston, he also orchestrated and hosted the first daily local sports talk show in South Texas in three years. Prior to moving to Texas, Weiss spent four seasons calling the action of Northeastern University hockey in Boston.
"I'm ecstatic for the opportunity to come and work for a championship organization in the Bullies and the ECHL," said Weiss. "I look forward to meeting our fans and bringing them as close to the action as possible when the Bullies are away from home.
