Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors Professional Hockey Club announced today they have signed defenseman Kam White. White could join the team in time for today's game against Phoenix.
The 6-foot, 4-inch, 220-pound veteran backliner from Chicago played in two games for Fresno earlier this season, recording no points or penalty minutes. White began the 2006-07 campaign with the UHL's Flint Generals, where he notched three assists and 48 penalty minutes in 22 games, before heading to the Port Huron Flags where he recorded five assists and 143 penalty minutes in 32 games.
"We've had a bunch of injuries and needed a presence on the blue line, on and off the ice," said Condors head coach Marty Raymond.
White began his professional tenure with the South Carolina Stingrays in the 1995-96 season and played with six other ECHL teams over the course of his first four years. He has had stints with 10 different ECHL and five different AHL teams in his 12-year career.
During the 1996-97 season, White recorded a career high 261 penalty minutes in 47 games with the Johnstown Chiefs. During the 2004-05 season White tallied career numbers of 25 points (3g, 22a) in 71 games with the Flint Generals, along with 247 PIM.
