
Playoff-bound Falcons playing for home-ice advantage

Your playoff bound Fresno Falcons are back on home ice Friday and Saturday at the Save Mart Center. The top eight teams in the National Conference make the playoffs and the Falcons are currently sitting in sixth place with 76 points behind Stockton with 78 points and 4th place Idaho with 79 points. The top four teams will have home ice advantage in the first round. Friday the Falcons battle the Evil Bakersfield Condors in an Amtrak Battle of the 99. Saturday, the Falcons battle Phoenix. Saturday's game features a pre-game alumni game starting at 4:30pm to raise money for the Fresno Junior Hockey Club. This season is the Fifth Anniversary of the 2002 Fresno Falcons Taylor Cup Championship and Saturday's alumni game will feature several former Falcons and members of the 2002 Taylor Cup Championship team. Fresno Falcons vs Evil Bakersfield Condors
This game will have a playoff atmosphere and will determine playoff rankings for the Falcons. All Fans are encouraged to bring a "Beat the Condors" Sign to the game.
The Falcons also welcome Big Brothers Big Sisters and the bowlers from the "Bowl for Kids Sake" fundraiser earlier in the month.

Falcons welcome Big Bob's New and Used Carpets to the game
Doors open at 4pm for a Falcons Alumni Game featuring several Falcons alumni playing hockey with area firefighters and police officers to raise money for youth hockey. Both teams will be wearing special alumni jerseys to be auctioned off during the silent auction after the Alumni game.
