Eric Werner Assigned To Royals

Reading Royals News Release


Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Eric Werner has been assigned by Manchester to the Royals. This marks the second stint of the season with Reading for Werner (5'10"/185 lbs.) (24), who picked up two assists in three games with the Royals in early March. Werner has scored five goals and assisted on twenty-three others in fifty-six games with the Monarchs this season.

It is expected that Werner will be in the lineup tonight (March 28 @ 6:35 pm) at the Sovereign Center when the Royals take on the Trenton Titans. The first 1000 youngsters twelve years of age or younger will receive a "Slapshot" bank courtesy of CTCE. Royals' game night broadcasts can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1240 am (and on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com), beginning thirty minutes before the opening face-off. Streaming video is also available for $6.00 per game through the B2 Networks, which can be accessed through the Royals' website.
