OSHAWA, ON - For the second time in as many nights, the Steelheads were on the road to take on an East Division opponent. Unlike Thursday's contest in Peterborough, the Steelheads were unable to complete the comeback in Oshawa and dropped the third game of the season series by a score of 7-4.

Jake Ingham allowed 6 goals on 36 shots while Aidan Hughes turned aside 27 of 31 in the win for the Generals.

FIRST PERIOD

The Generals didn't take long to get on the board as overage forward Anthony Salinitri continued his recent tear by potting his 27th of the season just 1:00 into the opening frame. Habs prospect Allan McShane would make it 2-0 for the home side before James Hardie tucked home his 7th of the season to get the Steelheads on the board and within one. The first period flurry continued for the Gens as Serron Noel and Matt Brassard each added a goal to give them a 4-1 lead through 20:00.

SECOND PERIOD

The Steelheads controlled the majority of the play in the second stanza, outshooting the Generals 14-10 and outscoring them 2-0. Just 2:49 into the frame, Richard Whittaker scored shorthanded with Washkurak in the box. Adam Varga was credited with the lone assist on Whittaker's 5th of the season. Less than a minute later, Cole Schwindt finished a pretty passing play by firing a shot over the blocker of Aidan Hughes to bring the Fish within a goal. 4-3 through 40:00.

THIRD PERIOD

Cole Resnick regained the Generals' 2-goal lead early in the third period before Cole Carter's breakaway effort brought the Steelheads within 1 once again. Alan Lyszczarczyk extended his point streak to 6 games, picking up an assist on Cole Carter's team-high 24th goal of the season. Lyszczarczyk has registered 16 points (7G, 9A) in that 6 game stretch. Vallati would add an insurance marker late in the game before Anthony Salinitri deposited his second of the night into the open net to cap things off. 7-4 Gens, the final.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Steelheads play host to the Peterborough Petes on Sunday afternoon at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre. The Petes and Steelheads have gone to a shootout in their last two clashes and Sunday is sure to be a thriller given what's at stake. The Steelheads currently trail the Petes by 2 points in the Eastern Conference Standings. Fans can secure their seats by visiting the Paramount Fine Foods Centre on online via TICKETMASTER.
