Greyhounds Acquire Peca from Colts
January 4, 2019 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Soo Greyhounds News Release
Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis announced this afternoon the acquisition of 19-year forward JADEN PECA in a deal completed with the Barrie Colts.
In exchange the Greyhounds send their 6th Round Selection in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection to the Colts.
"Jaden's a talented, hard working forward that can play with an edge. He is coming off a year last year where he had forty-seven points on a very good Barrie Colts hockey club. He played in all situations for them and that's the role we're hoping for him to jump in on our side as well" began Raftis.
"We're excited to add him to our '99 group and feel he is a really good fit for us this season and moving forward" concluded Raftis.
Peca is in the mist of his third season in the Ontario Hockey League after originally being selected in the 6th Round of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection by the Colts.
In 155 career games played, the Woodbridge ON product has 23 goals and 47 assists, good for 70 points.
Most recently Peca has 6 goals and 10 assists through 35 games played this season.
