Combs and Costello Agree to Terms on AHL Deals

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Jan. 9, 2013) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today they have agreed to terms with forwards Jack Combs and Chad Costello on one-year, American Hockey League contracts through the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

Combs, 24, has appeared in three games with the Sound Tigers after signing a professional tryout contract on Dec. 18 and has scored one goal. Prior to joining the Sound Tigers, the St. Louis native recorded 42 points (19 goals, 23 assists) in 27 games with the ECHL's Colorado Eagles earlier this season.

Costello, 26, has posted four points (one goal, three assists) in four games with the Sound Tigers after signing his PTO on Dec. 18. The Johnston, IA native led the ECHL with 49 points (14 goals, 35 assists) in 27 games with Colorado prior to joining the Sound Tigers. Last season, Costello earned ECHL MVP honors with 76 points (29 goals, 46 assists) in 47 games with the Eagles.
