Columbus Recalls Defenseman Grant Clitsome

Syracuse, NY (March 22, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Grant Clitsome.

Clitsome, 24, has appeared in 64 games with the Crunch this season, collecting five goals, 15 assists and 42 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut with Columbus on March 2, 2010 vs. Vancouver and registered two assists.

A native of Gloucester, Ontario, Clitsome spent four years at Clarkson University from 2004-08, skating in 150 games, registering 16 goals, 57 assists and 122 penalty minutes. He was selected by Columbus in the ninth round, 271st overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch travel to Worcester on Tuesday, March 23 and Bridgeport on Wednesday, March 24 before returning home on Friday, March 26 to face Toronto at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at 315-473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling Ticketmaster at 315-472-0700.
