
Columbus Crew SC to Hold Virtual Celebration Tomorrow at MAPFRE Stadium to Commemorate Winning MLS Cup 2020

COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew SC announced today that the Club is set to hold a celebration tomorrow, Sunday, December 13 at MAPFRE Stadium to commemorate winning MLS Cup 2020. The celebration will be streamed beginning at 12:00 p.m. ET on the Club's Facebook and YouTube accounts, allowing supporters to virtually attend the event.
Due to the pandemic, a celebratory championship parade for supporters and players is unfortunately not possible at this time, however, the club intends to arrange in-person celebratory opportunities in 2021 when health and safety guidelines permit.
Sunday's virtual celebration will feature Crew SC President & General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko, Crew SC Head Coach Caleb Porter and select Crew SC players as speakers. Following the livestream, at a time to be determined, select Crew SC players will be available to members of the media through a virtual mixed zone via Zoom. On Saturday, Crew SC defeated Seattle Sounders FC to win MLS Cup 2020, marking the second time the Club has won the trophy, having previously won it in 2008. With the triumph, the Crew is now one of only seven MLS clubs to have won MLS Cup on two or more occasions, joining the LA Galaxy, D.C. United, Sporting Kansas City, Houston Dynamo FC, Seattle Sounders FC and the San Jose Earthquakes.
