Colorado Eagles Top Wranglers, Yet Again

LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles knocked off the Las Vegas Wranglers in the second and final game of the preseason series with a final score of 4-1.

Eagles forward Alex Hudson sent a nice slapshot from the circle straight past Wranglers goalie Mitch O'Keefe just under eight minutes into the first period to make it 1-0. At the 13:37 mark, forward Kyle Ostrow set forward Greg Gardner up with a nice pass in the low slot to put Colorado up 2-0.

Las Vegas forward Yannick Dube scored right off a face-off less than 2 minutes into the second frame putting Vegas on the board 2-1. Eagles goalie Marc Cheverie was able to stop six of the seven shot he faced on the night. Halfway through the period Colorado goaltender Adam Brown entered the contest and turned aside all nine shots that he saw. The Eagles remained on top 2-1 at the end of the second.

Eagles veteran forward Riley Nelson bumped the Eagles score to 3-1, 11:14 into the third frame. Just over 14 minutes into the final period Colorado forward Kevin Ulanski was able to put up a shorthanded goal, finalizing the score at 4-1.

The Eagles head out on the road to take on the Bakersfield Condors on October 18 and the Stockton Thunder on October 19.
