
Wranglers Fall to Eagles, 4-1

Las Vegas - The Colorado Eagles won 4-1 over the Las Vegas Wranglers tonight, completing the two-game series between the teams.
The first period belonged to Colorado, with forward Alex Hudson putting the Eagles on the board eight minutes into the game. Eagles forward Greg Gardner made it 2-0 at the 13:37 mark, and the first 20 minutes wrapped with Colorado out-shooting Vegas 11-4.
Wranglers forward Yannick Dube cut the Eagles' lead in half just 1:12 into the second, turning it into a 2-1 game. Shots were more evenly matched. tilted 7-6 in Colorado's favor, but the score held through the end of the period.
Eagles center Riley Nelson gave Colorado a two-goal advantage in the final nine minutes, scoring a low goal off the face-off on Wranglers goalie Mitch O'Keefe. Exactly three minutes later, Eagles forward Kevin Ulanski secured the team's 4-1 victory over Las Vegas with a shorthanded goal.
The Wranglers finish their preseason road games on Saturday, Oct. 12, against the Ontario Reign. The Reign then travel to Vegas for the singular preseason home game on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 2:05 p.m. The regular season kicks off in Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 7:05 p.m. against the Utah Grizzlies.
