
Coleman, Kremyr Help Aces Blank Grizzlies 4-0

Gerald Coleman made 26 saves and Jordan Kremyr notched his first professional hat trick as the Alaska Aces blanked the Utah Grizzlies 4-0 on Friday night from Sullivan Arena. The Aces extended their winning streak to four games, and their ECHL-best point streak to 11 games. Alaska's record jumped to 17-4-2 on the year, and they are 9-0-2 in their last 11 games, matching their fourth longest point streak in franchise history. The Aces and

The Aces staked themselves a lead in the opening period with a pair of goals. Wes Goldie continued his hot streak, opening the scoring with a rebound goal at 4:55 of the frame. It was Goldie's sixth goal in the last eight games. The Aces added to their lead on a Utah power play when Kremyr capped a shorthanded two-on-one with Brandon Gentile for Kremyr's first of the night at 8:41. The Aces were outshot 13-11 in the first period, but lead 2-0 at the intermission break.
The clubs combined for just nine shots in the second period as the Aces 2-0 lead held up through the frame.
Kremyr kept things going for the Aces in the third when he got his second of the night on a rebound at 2:43 to make it 3-0. After Coleman and the Aces held their ground for the rest of the period, Kremyr scored into an empty net at 18:58 to complete the hat trick.
Gerald Coleman (14-3-1) earned the win, making 26 saves on 26 shots, and Andrew Engelage (10-7) made 22 saves on 25 shots, taking the loss. The Aces power play went 0-3, while the Grizzlies went 0-3. Alaska and Utah each had 26 shots in the game.
