
Clippers Surge past Santa Cruz behind Huge Second Quarter

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Agua Caliente Clippers (16-9) take down the Santa Cruz Warriors (10-15), 118-103, on Tuesday night, after a pair of losses over the weekend.
Agua Caliente was clicking on offense, with four players recording at least 20 points and three double-doubles on the night, led by George King's 29 points and Xavier Moon's 22-point, 12-assist double-double.
Shevon Thompson (19 points, 12 rebounds) and Keaton Wallace (20 points, 12 rebounds) each contributed double-doubles while Nate Darling (20 points) rounds out the scorers.
Santa Cruz was led by former Clipper first-round draft pick Jerome Robinson who had complete game of 23 points, seven rebounds, and six assists on the night.
After going down 15 in the first quarter, the Clippers took control in the second where they hit seven of 10 three-point attempts and outscored the Warriors 39-21. They led by as much as 18 in the victory and won the turnover battle, committing only 7 (8 points off turnover) to Santa Cruz's 17 (26 points).
Up next, the Clippers look to maintain their strong playoff position on Thursday, when they host the Texas Legends. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. PT inside the Toyota Arena in Ontario, Calif.
