Skyforce Partners with Jr. NBA to Recognize Local Youth Basketball Coach of the Year

The Sioux Falls Skyforce are recognizing youth coaches in the Sioux Falls area for their impact on youth basketball player and to the community through the Jr. NBA Coach of the Year award. Submissions can be made today by visiting the Coach of the Year page on the Skyforce website.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, April 15. Nominees will be condensed down to a field of finalists, which will be announced on Friday, April 15. From there, the public will help decide who is ultimately named local Jr. NBA Head Coach of the Year by participating in a fan vote hosted on Skyforce social media platforms. The final winner will then be announced on May 13, 2022.
The Jr. NBA Coach of the Year Program recognizes coaches that honor the game of basketball by demonstrating leadership and integrity, exhibiting a positive attitude towards all players, coaches, parents, and referees, and creating a lasting impact on young people both on and off the court.
Local winners will also be entered into a national competition, featuring leveled prizes for semi-finalists and finalists. One winner will be chosen and will receive the National Jr. NBA Coach of the Year Trophy in addition to $5,000 in total grant money to be given toward the coach's youth basketball organization.
