Herd Falls to Skyhawks

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the College Park Skyhawks 131-124. The Skyhawks built a 16-point lead in the first half, but the Herd battled back in the third quarter outscoring the Skyhawks 35-26. Rayjon Tucker converted a three-point play to put the Herd within one point with three minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Skyhawks held on to win the game 131-124.
Rayjon Tucker led the Herd with 31 points while Sandro Mamukelashvili added a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds.
DaQuan Jeffries led the Skyhawks with 35 points followed by Jalen Johnson with 29 points.
Rayjon Tucker hit a three to give the Herd its first lead of the game 3-2. The Skyhawks took the lead back going up 7-4 with ten minutes left in the first quarter. The Herd came within three points, but the Skyhawks answered with a 7-0 run to go up by 32-22 with three minutes left. The Skyhawks led at end of the first quarter 49-29.
Frank Mason III converted a three-point play to start the second quarter. The Skyhawks led 63-44 with five minutes remaining in the second quarter. The Skyhawks were on top 75-59 at the end of the first half. Rayjon Tucker led the Herd with 12 points in the first half.
The Herd scored seven unanswered points to come within 11 points at the beginning of the third quarter. Wisconsin went on an 11-2 run to bring the Skyhawks' lead to six. Jalen Lecque completed a layup and a free throw to put the Herd within four points with one and a half minutes left in the third quarter. College Park was on top 101-94 at the end of the third quarter.
Javin DeLaurier threw down a dunk to put the Herd within five points. Neither team scored for two minutes. Marcus Graves converted a steal into a layup to put the Herd within four points. Rayjon Tucker completed a three-point play to cut the Skyhawks' lead to one, but the Skyhawks held on to win 131-124.
The Herd will face the Skyhawks again on Friday, March 18 with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m. CST.
