Clippers Blow Past Rip City, 122-84

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (3-0) defeated the Rip City Remix, 122-84, in their home opener on Monday at the Toyota Arena.

Six Clippers, including all five starters, recorded 15 or more points, led by Brodric Thomas' 19 points (5-11 FG, 3-7 3P) off the bench. Two-way guard Joshua Primo led the starters with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field while Jordan Miller (6-9 FG), Kobe Brown (4-9 FG, 2-5 3P), and Xavier Moon (7-13 FG, 2-6 3P) each scored 16 points. Bryson Williams rounded out the starters with 15 points and eight rebounds on 5-of-7 shooting from the field.

Malachi Smith led the Remix with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 6-of-20 from the field. Jarrey Foster scord 13 points on 4-of-12 shooting from the field and 3-of-7 shooting from distance while Ryan Rupert flirted with a double-double, recording 12 points, nine rebounds, and four steals.

After a back-and-forth opening quarter that ended with a 3-point Remix advantage, the Clippers began to pull away in the second, outscoring Rip City 28-19 while shooting 42.4 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from distance. Ontario continued to pile on the rest of the way, shooting 63.2 percent from the field and 50 percent from three in the second half, leading by as much as 38 in the blowout victory.
