Chris Peters Joins Lugnuts

LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that infielder Chris Peters has been transferred to Lansing from the Bluefield Blue Jays (Rookie-level - Appalachian League).

Peters, 23, signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Cincinnati in 2011, batting .246 in 42 games in the Gulf Coast League in his pro debut. He had collected three hits, two doubles, in 14 at-bats for Bluefield in 10 games this season.

The Lugnuts' roster now consists of 23 active players, two beneath the maximum, as well as five players on the Disabled List and one on the Temporarily Inactive List.
