Cam Bedrosian activated from 7-day DL; Will start tonight at Great Lakes

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce that RHP Cam Bedrosian has been activated from the 7-day disabled list. Mike LaCassa, Minor League Operations Manager for the LA Angels, announced the move on Friday.

Bedrosian joined the Kernels back on April 30th and has posted a 2-6 record and 5.71 ERA in 11 starts for the Kernels. In 41 IP, he's allowed 39 hits and 28 runs (26 earned) with 29 walks and 23 strikeouts. Bedrosian went on the DL back on July 7th and was the Angels' first round draft pick in the 2010 Free Agent Draft.

Bedrosian is scheduled to start tonight's 6:05 pm game at Great Lakes. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with three players on the disabled list.

The Kernels continue a six game road trip tonight with a 6:05 pm game against the Great Lakes Loons, the Midwest League affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. They return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Wednesday, July 18th and open a six game home stand with games against Fort Wayne and Lake County.
