Chris Barth Joins Oilers, Smoleroff Activated

The Tulsa Oilers have added two defensemen to their line up just prior to their Friday night game with the Colorado Eagles. The Oilers have activated defenseman Darryl Smoleroff, and will also have defenseman Chris Barth in the line-up.

Barth, 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, joins the Oilers from the Lubbock Cotton Kings. The Oilers acquired him in exchange for the Central Hockey League playing rights to Jim Dahl. In 27 games with Lubbock, Barth had two goals and five assists for seven points and 95 penalty minutes.

In another roster move the Oilers moved center Brent McMann from the 14 day injured reserve list to the 45 day injured reserve list.

The Oilers resume action Friday and Saturday in their annual Turn Back the Clock weekend. Friday night the Oilers host the Colorado Eagles at 7:35 and Saturday night they host the Lubbock Cotton Kings at 7:35. Each night the Oilers will wear special retro jerseys which will be auctioned after the game Saturday night. There are concessions specials each night as well.
