Chiodo Reassigned From Jackals To B-Sens

The Elmira Jackals announced Tuesday that goaltender Andy Chiodo has been reassigned by the Ottawa Senators, their NHL affiliate, to the Binghamton Senators, their AHL affiliate. The Jackals also announced that defenseman Joe Grimaldi has been placed on waivers.

Chiodo is 7-3-1-0 with the Jackals this season, posting a.907 save percentage and a 2.90 goals-against average. He made 29 saves on 32 shots on Sunday in the Jackals' 6-3 road victory over the Reading Royals.

The first-place Jackals host the Charlotte Checkers on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. for the first and only ever regular-season meeting at First Arena before the Checkers move to the American Hockey League in 2010-2011. The Jackals welcome the Reading Royals to First Arena on Friday at 7:35 p.m. Fans can stick around and skate with the Jackals on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. after Elmira hosts the Johnstown Chiefs. The game is the final one between the two teams in Elmira before the Chiefs relocate to Greenville, S.C.
