Las Vegas' Miller Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. -Adam Miller of the Las Vegas Wranglers is the Sher-wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 8-14.

He also received the honor for the week of Nov. 30 - Dec. 6, 2009.

The 25 year old scored 12 points (6g-6a) in five games to help Las Vegas go 4-0-1 for the week. Miller recorded his second hat trick of the season and his first five-point game of the season (3g-2a) in the Wranglers' 6-3 win over Bakersfield on March 14. He also registered his first three-assist game of the season and added a goal to help Las Vegas beat Bakersfield 6-2 on March 13.

Miller is currently on an 11-game point streak (12g-12a) that started on Feb. 26 when he scored a goal in a 5-2 win over Stockton. He has garnered at least one point in 19 of his last 20 games played and has tallied two-or-more points in 12 of those games. He currently sits fifth in league scoring with 74 points (29g-45a) in 63 games. Miller was named to the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game for the National Conference team where he registered four points (2g-2a) and won the Reebok Fastest Skater Competition with a time of 14.287 seconds during the 13th Annual All-Star Skills Competition.

In his third season with the Wranglers, the Livonia, Mich. native has 126 points (45g-81a) and 139 penalty minutes in 126 regular season games and 29 points (8g-21a) and 34 penalty minutes in 28 Kelly Cup Playoff games, including tying a team record five points (2g-3a) on Apr. 25, 2008 against Alaska. He has also played in the American Hockey League where he has one goal and six penalty minutes in 10 games with Milwaukee.

He played four seasons at Ferris State University and had 77 points (30g-47a) and 76 penalty minutes in 146 games from 2004-08.

On behalf of Adam Miller, a case of pucks will be donated to a Las Vegas youth hockey organization by Sher-wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-wood Hockey has donated more than 23,100 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
