Elmira Jackals News Release
The Elmira Jackals will play three of their final five home games of the regular season on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at First Arena. The Jackals have a rare weekday home game (excluding Friday contests), just their second of the season, on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers. On Friday, Elmira will attempt to increase its American East Division lead over the Reading Royals with a game at 7:35 p.m., while Sunday's game is the last chance for fans to skate with the Jackals this season after their game at 4:05 p.m. against the Johnstown Chiefs.
This past week, the Jackals took three points, following up an overtime loss against Cincinnati on Saturday with a victory in Reading on Sunday, putting the Jackals eight points in front of the second-place Royals entering the ECHL's third-to-last week of the 2009-2010 season.
Jackals right winger Tyler Donati set a new Jackals record for points in one season with a pair of goals against the Cyclones. The previous record was 93 points, set by Randy Murphy in 2002-2003. Tyler leads the ECHL with 96 points and is looking to become the first ever Jackal to reach 100 points in a season.

RACKING UP ROAD WINS
Dating back to Jan. 22, Elmira has been victorious in eight-straight road games. The ECHL record for consecutive road victories is 10, accomplished most recently by the Long Beach Ice Dogs in 2006, with whom newest Jackal defenseman Derick Martin was playing at the time.
Away from First Arena, the Jackals began the season with three wins. After their early success, however, the Jackals, went through a 2-11-0-1 stretch in away games, ringing their overall road record to 5-11-0-1. Since that point, however, the Jackals have gone 11-2-0-0 in away games and now have the ECHL's fifth-best road record of 16-13-0-1.
ALUMNI GAME APPROACHING
The Labatt Blue/Seneca Beverage Elmira Jackals Alumni Game will be played on Saturday, Mar. 27 at First Arena as the Jackals alumni take on the Elmira Fire and Police Departments.
The game will feature some of the most popular Jackals players from past years. Eddy Lowe, Carl Drakensjo, Tom Clayton, James Sheehan, Trevor Burgess, Mike Thompson, and Ryan McIntosh are among other players expected to return to Elmira for this night in which memories will come to life.
After the game, the Jackals will hold a party to celebrate the game at a local area establishment, with exact location to be determined. The players will also be available for a meet and greet with fans after the Jackals' game against the Trenton Devils on Friday, Mar. 26.
The puck drops at 7:35 p.m. for the alumni game. Tickets to the event start at $12, and are available by visiting the First Arena Box Office, calling (607) 734-PUCK (7825), or log onto Ticketmaster.com.
POST TIME AT FIRST ARENA On Friday, March 26th, the Jackals host the Trenton Devils. That night the Jackals, along with the Puppy Patch, are hosting wiener dog races to determine the area's fastest daschund. If you are interested in entering your wiener, call (607) 734-PUCK (7825).
