Chihuahuas Win Third Straight Game Thursday

The El Paso Chihuahuas won their third straight game Thursday, defeating the Sacramento River Cats 7-3. El Paso's offense has been stellar throughout the series, scoring runs in 13 of its 24 innings. The Chihuahuas have outscored Sacramento 27-9 in the first three games.

Rymer Liriano led off the bottom of the first inning with his first Triple-A home run, becoming the first Chihuahuas player to lead off a game with a homer since Alex Castellanos on May 10, 2014. He added another solo home run in the bottom of the fourth and finished the night 3-for-4 with three RBIs. The Chihuahuas plated four runs in the bottom of the second on RBI hits by Taylor Lindsey, Abraham Almonte, Tommy Medica and Liriano. Starting pitcher Bryce Morrow allowed two runs in 6.2 innings of work and now has a 2.16 ERA through his first three Triple-A starts.

El Paso has not trailed in the series. The Chihuahuas have won eight of their last nine games.
