Chihuahuas Earn Series Win with 10-3 Decision

The El Paso Chihuahuas won their second straight game Sunday, defeating the Sacramento River Cats 10-3. The Chihuahuas clinched a series win with the victory.

Jerry Keel pitched seven innings and allowed only one earned run, turning in his second straight strong start. Keel has surrendered only two earned runs in 13 innings over his last two starts. Between Keel and Brett Kennedy, El Paso starting pitchers went 14 innings and allowed two earned runs in the last two games of the series.

Brett Nicholas went 4-for-5 with two doubles and five RBIs Sunday. Nicholas had nine hits and 10 RBIs in the three-game series against Sacramento. San Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria went 1-for-3 with a hit by pitch in his third MLB injury rehab game for Sacramento.

The Chihuahuas do not play on Monday.
