April 19, 2009 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Peoria Chiefs News Release
Davenport, IA - The Peoria Chiefs and Quad Cities River Bandits were rained out Sunday afternoon at Modern Woodman Park. The game was scheduled to be the series finale. Since the Chiefs do not return to Davenport in the first half, the game will be made up as a doubleheader during the May 12-15 series when the Bandits visit O'Brien Field.
The Chiefs have an off day scheduled for Monday and will take a 5-4 season record into a four game road series with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Game one of that series will be at 6:35 pm on Tuesday with the Chiefs starting pitcher TBA. After games in Appleton, WI on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Chiefs and Rattlers will play in Milwaukee's Miller Park Friday at 7:00 pm. All four games can be heard live on 96.5 ESPN and www.peoriachiefs.com.
