Chiefs Down Cyclones 4-3 in Overtime

The Cyclones lost an overtime thriller 4-3 in Johnstown on Sunday afternoon. The Cyclones trailed 2-0 and 3-2 in regulation before sending the game to the extra frame. With the loss, the Cyclones fall to 25-42-4 on the year.

The Chiefs took a 2-0 lead on second period markers by Brent Kelly and Shawn Mather. Trailing 2-0, Evan Cheverie scored his seventh goal of the season at the 11:55 mark of the second to cut the J-Town lead in half. Erik Eaton scored his second goal as a Clone with just 1:13 left in the second to tie the game at two.

In the third, J-Town took a 3-2 lead when captain Brent Bilodeau scored his sixth goal of the season. The Cyclones staged another comeback to tie the game at three. Evan Cheverie scored with 2:57 left in the game for his second marker on the night.

In the overtime, Larry Courville beat Randy Petruk 3:43 into the period to win the game for J-Town.

The Cyclones end their season on Saturday in Dayton. The sportsjuice.com pre-game show starts at 6:50 p.m. before the 7:00 p.m. opening face-off.
