
Chiefs Add Two to Roster

Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today that the team has signed rookie center Jay Latulippe and forward Chester Gallant.
Latulippe, 23, comes to the Chiefs from Clarkson University where he was the Golden Knights leading scorer this season with 16 goals and 36 points in 39 games. The 5'10, 182 LBS native of Saratoga Springs, NY finished his career at Clarkson with 45 goals and 103 points in 146 games. He is a former teammate with Chiefs forward Jean Desrochers and defenseman Ian Manzano.
"Jay is an offensive player who is going to be a part of the future Johnstown Chiefs. He will get an opportunity to get a few games in with us this season. He will contribute to this team immediately and hopefully next season," said O'Brien.
Gallant, 27, spent most of this season in the SPHL between Winston Salem and most recently Asheville. In 19 games with Asheville he had 5 goals, 8 points and 45 PIM. In 34 games with Winston Salem, the 6'2, 220 LBS native of Thunder Bay, Ontario had 13 goals and 21 points along with 77 PIM. He also saw action with Port Huron (UHL) and Gwinnett (ECHL) this season. He is a former third round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers (1996; 64th overall).
Tomorrow night the Chiefs return home to face the Dayton Bombers at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m., they host the Wheeling Nailers. The next designated sellout night, sponsored by "Your Neighborhood Ford Store," is on Saturday April 9th against Atlantic City. It will also be Fan Appreciation Day, as hundreds of prizes will be given away at random to fans throughout the game.
