
Four Third Period Goals Lift Reading To Victory In Dayton

Dayton, OH â The Dayton Bombers surrendered four third period goals and dropped a 6-3 decision to the Reading Royals in front of 4,076 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center Saturday night. Scott Cameron recorded one goal and two assists in a losing effort for the Bombers.
Former Bombers forward Preston Mizzi opened the scoring at 15:42 of the first period, and the Royals led 1-0 after 20 minutes.
JUSTIN KINNUNEN tied the game, 1-1, with his 9th goal of the season at 2:16 of the second period. Eric Fortier gave Reading a 2-1 lead. Then, SCOTT CAMERON (11:01) and STEVE BRUDZEWSKI (18:01) gave Dayton a 3-2 lead after two periods.
Four unanswered goals from the Royals in the third period lifted Reading to the 6-3 victory. It was the most goals Dayton allowed in any single period this season. Cameron finished the game with one goal, two assists and first star honors for the Bombers.
The Dayton Bombers return to action tomorrow (Saturday) night when they travel to the Cambria County War Memorial Arena to face the Johnstown Chiefs. Audio coverage begins at 7:00 PM at daytonbombers.com.
