CHECKERS AND THE ATTIC BAR HELP PAT'S PLACE
3/11/08 - The Charlotte Checkers have partnered with the Attic Bar located at 200 N. Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte to help raise funds and awareness for Pat's Place.
On March 11 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Checkers players and CheckMates will be on hand to serve as guest bartenders at the Attic Bar. During the event, $1 from each drink purchased will go to benefit Pat's Place Child Advocacy Center Inc. which is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation that was incorporated in December 2004 to fulfill the unmet need for specialized coordinated services for children affected by sexual abuse.
HOLT NAMED RBK HOCKEY GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
3/11/08 - Chris Holt of the Charlotte Checkers is the Rbk Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Mar. 3-9.
The South Surrey, British Columbia native was 3-0-0 with a goals-against average of 2.00 and a save percentage of .938 to help Charlotte clinch a berth in the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the fourth straight year.

Guest Bartending with the Checkers - March 11
The Charlotte Checkers have partnered with The Attic Bar: located at 200 N. Connolly's on 5th St. Patrick's Day Parking Lot Party - March 15
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Connolly's! The parking lot party begins at 9 am and carries on into the night. There will be bagpipers, Irish dancers, and Irish food. Get your fill of fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage, and Irish stew while you dance to Eden Lane who will go on at 10 pm and DJ Tuff Paddy. The tent will be heated, so come out rain or shine! You will also be able to catch the ACC tournament projected on the tent and on HDTVs inside the bar. Games are at 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
Coach's Corner Beef 'O' Brady's - March 19
Checkers Head Coach Derek Wilkinson will be on hand to answer all your Checkers related questions. Visit the newly-opened private room that will host the event. Beef 'O' Brady's will feature $2 Bud and Bud Lights and $.35 cent wings.
