Charlotte Checkers News Release
(PRINCETON, N.J. Tuesday, January 13)- Charlotte left wing Dusty Jamieson has been named to replace Dave Inman on the ECHL Eastern Conference All-Star roster for the upcoming 2004 Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star Game to be held on Wednesday, January 21 in Peoria, Illinois. Inman was originally named as Charlotte's representative to the 2004 All-Star Classic, but earned a promotion to the American Hockey League with the Lowell Lock Monsters. Jamieson is currently on recall to the Hartford Wolf Pack, but will play in the All-Star Classic on January 21.
"Dusty is certainly next in line when you talk about All-Stars," remarked Checkers Head Coach & General Manager Don MacAdam. "Dave Inman had a great run while he was here and certainly deserved to be selected, and Dusty is right there with him as far as selections are concerned."
Under contract to Hartford of the AHL, Jamieson was selected in the fifth round (136th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1999 National Hockey League Entry Draft. The 22-year-old Jamieson is third on the team with 22 points and tied for fourth with 10 goals and 12 assists in 24 games while also appearing in six games with Hartford in the AHL. In his first professional season in 2002-03, the 6-2 and 174-pound Jamieson tied for the team lead with 27 goals, tied for second on the team with seven power-play goals and ranked fifth in scoring with 45 points (27g-18a) in 50 regular season games for Charlotte. Dusty is currently on his second recall to the Hartford Wolf Pack this season, having spent four games with the AHL club in early November.
