Curtin is the InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Atlantic City left wing Luke Curtin is the InGlasCo ECHL Player of the Week for January 5-11.

Curtin scored eight points (4g-4a) and was +4 while helping Atlantic City win three consecutive road games to increase its winning streak to four games and improve to 9-0-1 in its last 10 games. Curtin scored two goals, including the game winner and a shorthand goal, in a 5-2 win at Dayton on Thursday and had a power-play goal and two assists in a 5-1 win at Roanoke on Friday. He closed out the week with a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win at Greensboro, extending his goal-scoring and scoring streak to four games (6g-5a).

Selected in the fifth round (134th overall) by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1996 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Curtin leads Atlantic City offensively the last 10 games with 10 goals and 21 points, including a team-high six goals and 11 points in the last five games. He leads the Boardwalk Bullies with 19 goals, 24 assists and 43 points and is tied for the ECHL lead with four shorthand goals and tied for eighth in the league in scoring.

Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Curtin helped Atlantic City win the 2003 Kelly Cup Championship and led the Kelly Cup Playoffs with 14 assists while tying for second in scoring with 20 points (2g-18a) in 19 games. Curtin scored 45 points (11g-34a) in 40 regular season games with Atlantic City in 2002-03.

On behalf of Luke Curtin, a case of pucks will be donated to an Atlantic City area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.
