"I'm excited to be working with a class organization like the Checkers to bring awareness to local charities that do amazing work with Autistic children and adults," remarked Mike McBride, a local parent organizer.

"We are so thrilled to have been able to add this night to our calendar," said Tera Black, Checkers COO. "There are so many people that are affected by Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders and for us to be able to provide a forum where resources can be collected is just such a great opportunity. Further we look forward to utilizing our game as a means to educate our fans on the facts of Autism."

Autism is a complex brain disorder that inhibits a person's ability to communicate and develop social relationships, and is often accompanied by extreme behavioral challenges. Autism Spectrum Disorders are diagnosed in one in 150 children in the United States, affecting four times as many boys as girls. The diagnosis of autism has increased tenfold in the last decade.
