Club de Foot Montreal News Release

MONTREAL - Having picked up three road points out of a possible six while on the American West Coast, CF Montréal (9-7-2) will return to Stade Saputo this Saturday to face Sporting Kansas City (4-11-4) at 7:30pm (TVA Sports, 91.9 Sports, TSN 690).

Saturday's matchup will mark the beginning of a crucial stretch for Montreal, which will play three of its five games this July at home, including July 16 against Toronto FC, during which former captain Mauro Biello will be inducted to the Club's Wall of Fame. Montreal has a 5-3-0 home record this season.

The visitors are currently struggling and sit 14th in the Western Conference table with only one win in their last six games. Peter Vermes' men suffered their 11th loss of the season (0-1) to the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, a league-high in the losses column.

After being shut out Monday night against Los Angeles for only the third time this season, Montreal's attack will be looking to take advantage of a matchup against the second-to-last defence in the West with 35 goals against and a -17 goal differential. Montreal will be looking for its first win against this opponent since a 2-0 win on June 30, 2018, at Stade Saputo.
