Center Mark Hartigan Wins January's Haylor, Freyer & Coon Insurance Goal of the Game Award

Syracuse, NY (February 4, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that center Mark Hartigan is the winner of the Haylor, Freyer & Coon Insurance Goal of the Game for January.

Center Mark Hartigan tallied one ‘insurance' goal during the month, in Syracuse's 5-3 win over Manitoba at the War Memorial at Oncenter on January 28.

Each time during the 2005-06 season that the Crunch win by two or more goals, they will award the Haylor, Freyer & Coon Insurance Goal of the Game. The award goes to the player that records the goal that gives Syracuse a two-goal lead (ie. In a 5-3 game, the player that scores the fifth goal will receive the Haylor, Freyer & Coon Insurance Goal of the Game.)

November - right wing Joe Motzko

December - NA

The Crunch travel to Grand Rapids on Saturday, February 4 for a 7 p.m. game. Crunch action can be heard with play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott on SportsRadio 620 WHEN or through the Crunch's official website (www.syracusecrunch.com) on B2Networks. On Friday, February 10 Syracuse hosts Binghamton for a 7:30 p.m. match-up.
