Gary SouthShore Railcats News Release
GARY, IN - The Gary SouthShore RailCats continued their busy week Wednesday, activating RHP Kevin Osaki off the disabled list and releasing INF Stephen Rogers.
Osaki, who has been with the team since the beginning of the season, has an 0-1 record and 6.13 ERA this season. The righty from Fountain Valley, Calif., was placed on the DL June 20 after surrendering seven runs on ten hits and three walks in his last 3.1 innings.
To make room for Osaki on the main roster, the RailCats released Stephen Rogers, who posted a .257 batting average in 13 games this season. Rogers was signed June 7 and hit the team's first home run of the season the same day. The lefty from Watertown, Mass., hadn't tallied an extra-base hit since June 9.
