St. Paul Saints News Release

ST. PAUL, MN (July 1, 2015) - Postgame fireworks abound as the Saints return for their fourth homestand of the year, salute our nation's independence, and channel their inner superhero. The Saints bring their fantastic brand of baseball back to CHS Field, so roll up in your DeLorean, pack your pink pantsuit and tube socks, and don't forget your kids at home as we gear up for another jam packed week of Saints promotions.

The Saints will first welcome the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for a three game set from July 3-5 and kick things off with another Xcel Energy Friday Night Fireworks following the 7:05 p.m. ball game. This week's Friday night extravaganza will feature the music of superheroes and superzeroes and Saints fans will be hoping the RedHawks play like the latter.

If 'Merica night in our last homestand wasn't enough to satisfy your patriotism, join in the fun on Saturday for the Fourth of July at CHS Field featuring a Post-Game Fireworks Super Show because nothing says, "U-S-A" quite like blowing stuff up in the night sky. The Saints will don special Fourth of July Uniforms, blue in the front with the "STP" logo over the left breast, white down the sides with three blue stars on either side and camouflage on the back with the number in red. The uniforms will be auctioned off and all the proceeds will be donated to the families of the victims of the Charleston, SC church shooting. The fireworks will follow the conclusion of Saints-RedHawks scheduled to get underway on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. Of course nothing depicts the American dream like baseball and a dad in a Hawaiian shirt as we get tropical on a Treasure Island Saturday.

On Sunday July 5 at 5:05 p.m., sport your vibrant orange and celebrate the hands that built CHS Field with the Bill Murray and friends Construction T-shirt giveaway presented by Walser. The first 1,000 fans will receive a t-shirt and be the envy of all their friends as they sport the hottest t-shirt in St. Paul featuring Murray and the craftspeople that made CHS Field possible. While Bill Murray's autograph is printed right on the shirt, don't fret; there will be plenty of space left for team autographs along with a chance for kids to run the bases postgame as part of a Savers Family Sunday. Also on hand that night will be Stew Thornley and the MN Historical Press, the author and publisher behind The St. Paul Saints: Baseball in the Capital City. Fans can purchase this riveting book on the history of the Saints which tells amazing stories from the late 1800s through the current version of the Saints.

From July 6-9, move from saluting the star-spangled banner to brushing up on your "O Canada" lyrics as the Saints head into their first interleague action of the year when they host the Ottawa Champions. The Champions make their first ever trip to St. Paul on Monday July 6 at 7:05 p.m., and we promise there will be no Wet Bandits as we recognize the 25th anniversary of Home Alone. Tell your friends they have 10 seconds to get their "ugly, yella, no-good keisters off my property" and into a seat at CHS Field where there will be plenty of snacks and diverse food specials on a Metropolitan State University Munchie Monday.

On Tuesday July 7 at 7:05 p.m., show off your fashion sense on "Pink It Up Night," our salute to Jackie Kennedy, one of the most revered and well respected figures in American history. Schuler Shoes will be on hand with their nonprofit of the night, the Park Nicollet Foundation, bringing their Mammo a go-go truck to educate our fans and neighbors about the importance of mammograms. The truck will be located on Broadway St. between the Farmers Market Railgating and the Saints ticket office. You'll need that knowledge of pop culture, baseball, and more as you back up your fashionable pink attire with a sense of sophistication and smarts on another Mississippi Market Trivia Tuesday featuring Trivia Mafia.

Saints ushertainer Coach is really sure these are going to be fashionable soon so don't miss the Tube Sock Giveaway presented by St. Croix Orthopaedics on Wednesday July 8 at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive their very own pair of Saints footwear that leaves plenty for the imagination. Plus make sure you arrive early to the ballpark and don't miss the craziest tailgate party of the year as part of another Walser Wednesday.

On Thursday July 9 at 7:05 p.m., buckle up and get ready, because "where we're going, we don't need roads." On day seven of the homestand it's the 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future presented by virtuwell. After you arrive at CHS Field in your DeLorean at 88 mph, you'll want to double check your flux capacitor because it will seem like you've zoomed back to the past as you enjoy $1 beers all game on Thirsty Thursday.

The Saints have continued to play great baseball and have cruised into the future in their brand new ballpark in Lowertown. Nothing will have you flying higher than a superhero than, not one, but two big time fireworks shows. Jackie Kennedy would be proud of your fashion sense as you strut your stuff with a Bill Murray and friends construction t-shirt and Saints tube socks. We promise the Wet Bandits won't be there to put a damper on the party as the Saints come marching back into CHS Field for another wild week of Saints promotions.
