KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (Aug. 31, 2015) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have promoted catcher Sean O'Connell directly to AAA Charlotte. There is no corresponding move at this time. The Intimidators roster is now at 24.
O'Connell, 23, appeared in 11 games with Kannapolis and 10 games with Class A-Advanced Winston-Salem. This is his first promotion to AAA Charlotte, and he is the third Intimidator this season to reach the White Sox highest Minor League affiliate, joining Chris Curley and Alexander Simon. The White Sox originally drafted O'Connell in the 15th round of the June 2010 First-Year Player Draft.
