AT THE DISH: Ryan Vilade recorded a multi-hit game, contributing two of the Isotopes' three hits on the night. The 22-year-old connected on his first Triple-A home run, finishing the game 2-for-4 ... Taylor Motter collected the other hit for Albuquerque, finishing the night 1-for-3 with a double and walk.
TOEING THE RUBBER: Isotopes starter Ryan Castellani (1-4, 7.54) took the loss despite a solid effort on the hill. The right-hander allowed two hits, yielding two earned runs. Castellani walked two and struck out five ... Relievers Chris Rusin, Joe Harvey and Justin Lawrence each tossed a scoreless frame from out of the bullpen.
TOPES TIDBITS: With only three hits during the contest, the Isotopes team batting average has fallen to .209, the lowest in Triple-A baseball.
ON DECK: After a league-wide off-day on Wednesday the Isotopes return home on Thursday to open a six-game series with the Las Vegas Aviators (Triple-A Oakland). Ryan Rolison (1-0, 8.10) gets the nod in the series opener.
