
Skeeters Wrap up Homestand with 3-2 Win

(SUGAR LAND, Texas) - The Sugar Land Skeeters finished their homestand with a 3-2 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Tuesday night at Constellation Field.
The Skeeters have won of 10 their last 11 games and sit atop the Triple A West standings. Their winning percentage of .739 (17-9) is fourth-best in Minor League Baseball and second-best of Triple A teams.
They jumped out to an early lead on an Abraham Toro RBI single in the first inning. The Skeeters scored a pair three batters later on a fielder's choice from Alex De Goti, with a throwing error from Isotopes second baseman Jose Gomez allowing another run to cross.
Ryan Hartman picked up his first win of the season. He allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits through five innings. Carson LaRue finished out the game, collecting five strikeouts through four scoreless innings.
Ryan Vilade provided a solo home run, giving Albuquerque its final run of the night in the third inning.
Following a Wednesday off day, the Skeeters will begin a six-game road series at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday against the Oklahoma City Dodgers.
