Carson Lambos, Matthew Savoie Named to Team Canada Roster for World Under-17 Hockey Challenge

Winnipeg, MB - Carson Lambos and Matthew Savoie have been named to Team Canada's roster for the upcoming World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

The tournament will take place from November 2-9 in Medicine Hat, AB and Swift Current, SK.

In total, 66 players have been chosen to represent Canada at the tournament. Those players will be divided into three teams - Team Canada Black, Team Canada Red and Team Canada White - which will compete against Finland, Russia, Sweden, the U.S. and the Czech Republic.

Lambos, from Winnipeg, MB, is currently in the middle of his first season with the Winnipeg ICE. The defender has two goals and seven points in nine regular season games. The ICE selected Lambos second overall in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

The ICE selected Savoie first overall in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. The St. Albert, AB native has scored seven goals and added 13 assists for 20 points in seven games with RHA Prep of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League this season. Savoie has also played in three regular season games with the ICE.

All three Canadian teams begin the tournament on November 2 with Team Canada Red facing Russia and Team Canada Black taking on Team Canada White.
