
Warriors Fall to Hurricanes

The Moose Jaw Warriors were limited to 19 shots on Tuesday and fell 6-0 to the Lethbridge Hurricanes at Mosaic Place.
Lethbridge picked up the games' first goal while working on the power-play close to six minutes into the period.ÃÂ D-Jay Jerome came down the Warriors' right wall and then made a pass cross-ice to Alex Cotton at the top of the left circle where he put a shot over the goal line.
The Hurricanes took a 2-0 lead with five minutes left in the period when Jerome jumped on the puck after a Moose Jaw turnover at the Lethbridge blueline. Jerome came up the ice and finished the rush with a shot past Jackson Berry.
The visitors scored the only goal of the second period when D-Jay Jerome knocked the puck in on a goal-mouth scramble at 12:47 while working on the power-play.
Lethbridge did not let off the throttle in the third period, Noah Boyko, Alex Cotton, and Justin Hall all scored, and the Hurricanes handed the Warriors a 6-0 loss.
Jackson Berry made 33 saves in the loss and Carl Tetachuk made 19 saves to record the shutout.
Moose Jaw was 0-for-3 on the power-play and 3-for-6 on the penalty kill.
The Warriors are now off until the weekend when they head to Alberta for games in Calgary and Lethbridge.
