
Addison, Cozens Named to CIBC Canada Russia Series

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Western Hockey League, in conjunction with the Canadian Hockey League and Hockey Canada, announced the roster for Team WHL for the 2019 CIBC Canada Russia Series and Lethbridge Hurricanes' players Calen Addison and Dylan Cozens were named to the team.
Addison, 19, represented Team WHL last year appearing in both games going pointless with two penalty minutes and three shots on goal. The 2018 second round draft pick (53rd overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins has appeared in nine games this season with the Hurricanes collecting seven points (2g-5a) along with 12 penalty minutes. Addison has skated in 211 career regular season games with the 'Canes totaling 170 points (33g-137a) and 171 penalty minutes.
Cozens, 18, also represented Team WHL last year skating in two games scoring one goal with six shots on goal. The 2019 first round pick (7th overall) of the Buffalo Sabres has dressed in eight games this season registering 12 points (7g5a) with six penalty minutes since returning for Buffalo. Cozens has skated in 136 regular season games for the Hurricanes totaling 150 career points (64g-86a) along with 56 penalty minutes.
It will be the fourth straight season that a Hurricane will represent Team WHL in the CIBC Canada Russia Series: 2018 - Calen Addison, Jordy Bellerive, Dylan Cozens

In total, 20 players were named to Team WHL for the two-game series that will take place on November 13th in Saskatoon and November 14th in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Last year, Team WHL split a pair of games with Russia.
