Carlos Rodríguez Named Midwest League Player of the Week

GRAND CHUTE, WI - Carlos Rodríguez had a great series for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers against the Cedar Rapids Kernels last week and has been recognized as the Midwest League Player of the Week. He is the second member of the team to win a weekly award in the last two weeks. Brandon Knarr was the Midwest League's Pitcher of the Week last week.

Rodríguez went 10-for-23 (.435) in the six-game series with the Western Division-leading Kernels. He had at least one hit in all six games of the series with three doubles, two homers, and one triple for an OPS of 1.348 in the series.

The Timber Rattlers are one game behind the Kernels in the first half Western Division playoff race with 21 games remaining in the half. Wisconsin starts a six-game series with Peoria on Tuesday night at 6:40pm.
