
Captains Begin Final Regular Season Home Stand of the Year on Wednesday

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will begin the final regular season home stand of the year on Wednesday as the Bowling Green Hot Rods (Rays) visit Classic Park.
Feed Your Face Night is Wednesday, featuring a $10 all-you-can-eat food package which includes unlimited hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn and chips throughout the game. Game time is 7 PM.
Thursday is Thirsty Thursday, presented by ESPN 850 WKNR, and will feature a .25-cent beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half-price draft beer and fountain soda until 9 PM. Thursday is also Date Night, presented by Fisher's Jewelers at Shoregate, which gives couples the opportunity to purchase two tickets to The Officer's Club Suite and two meal vouchers, a $56 value, for only $30. Game time is 7 PM.
Friday is the regular season finale and it will be packed full of entertainment and activities. It will be the final Fireworks Friday night presented by State Farm Insurance Agent Tim Barnosky and 92.3 FM, The Fan. Friday is also SuperMegaPrizeAthon in conjunction with Groverpalooza which will be a tribute to the Captains on-field host, Grover. There will be special in-game promotions, music, videos and other special events focused on the legendary antics of Grover. The Captains fans will also be bombarded with hundreds of prizes throughout the night.
Prior to the game on Friday the inaugural Facebook vs. Twitter softball game will take place pitting Captains Facebook and Twitter followers against each other to see who will reign supreme in a nine inning softball contest. Gates open at 3:30 PM for the 4 PM game and any fan with a ticket for the 7 PM Captains game that night may attend.
The Captains and Euclid Fish will offer their second annual Clam Bake on Friday in the left field picnic area. The bake will consist of a meal featuring one dozen middle neck clams, a plump half chicken, sweet potato, sweet corn, cole slaw and a roll and butter. Assorted Coke products will be served as well. The cost of each full clam bake is $22. Additional clams can purchased for $8 per dozen.
